At Weybridge Salsa we offer weekly evening classes for a variety of levels, daytime private classes, latin events and special workshops.

For those who prefer an individual approach or want to learn for a specific occasion, we offer private dance classes, custom-made wedding dances and much more. Please select from the various options in the drop down menu or click below to find out more.

HOW TO SIGN UP TO SALSA CLASSES: Contact us to enquire or head to Bookings to pay for classes. You can also pay-as-you-go on the night by cash or card. Drop-in students are welcome, although we still recommend a certain commitment to be able to progress in your dance.

Salsa Group Classes

Beginners

This class is designed for students taking their first salsa steps. The carefully prepared programme will give you the opportunity to consolidate the basic steps, learn simple routines and feel confident on the dance floor.

Cost: £40 for 4 classes or £12 for 1

Day: Every Tuesday

Time: 9pm - 9:50pm

Beginners Level Two

This class is designed for all the students that are confident with the basic steps and are ready to learn more complex routines.

Cost: £40 for 4 classes or £12 drop in

Day: Every Tuesday

Time: 7:45pm-8:45pm

Improvers

This class is designed for anyone who has done more than 4 months of salsa or is easing back into salsa after some time off. You will learn simple yet elegant routines and will have an opportunity to work on your styling.

Whether you are unable to join one of our group courses, would like to catch up with a course that has already started, or simply prefer a one-to-one class, then we can offer private classes. These sessions can take place in the comfort of your home or in one of our halls. You will be surprised how quickly you will improve after just a few sessions! FAQs

What can I expect?

Salsa is a fun and uplifting social dance which we truly believe benefits both body and soul. However, its technique appears much easier than it actually is. At Weybridge Salsa, we are committed to creating and nurturing a salsa community, where leaders and followers are taught properly and in a professional way, without losing the warmth and fun that this Latin dance brings to the spirit. This is why we have designed 4-week courses during which all our students will build up on the technique and foot and partner work from the previous weeks.
What should I wear?

You can wear whatever you like to our classes, as long as you feel comfortable. As far as shoes are concerned, if you do not own salsa shoes, you can wear any other type of shoe, but make sure they are practical for dance. We advise women not to wear high heels unless they are proper salsa shoes.
Do I need to come with a partner?

A partner is not required to sign up to our courses. We believe the most effective way to teach is to rotate partners every few steps, so that both leaders and followers get used to dancing with different people, including the teachers.
Is there a car park available?

For our Thursday classes at St. James Parish Centre there is a large car park in front of of the hall, which is free of charge after 7pm. For our Tuesday class at St Andrew's Church hall there is a dedicated, free car park at the back of the hall.
